Bihar youth questioned in deepfake video case

A 19-year-old youth from Bihar has been questioned by the Delhi Police in connection with a deepfake video of actor Rashmika Mandanna that went viral on social media. The police suspect that the youth initially uploaded the video on his own social media account before sharing it on other platforms. An FIR has been registered, but no arrests have been made so far. The police are interrogating the youth and have asked him to provide his mobile phone, which he claims was used to upload the video. The police have also reached out to Meta to obtain further details about the accused.
