Day after VRS, Odisha aide gets Cabinet rank

Former IAS officer VK Pandian has been appointed as the chairman of the 5T and Nabin Odisha programs in Odisha, with the rank of a cabinet minister. Pandian, who took voluntary retirement, will work directly under the Chief Minister and oversee the governance model based on teamwork, technology, transparency, transformation, and time limits. The Nabin Odisha scheme aims to promote Jagannath culture and enhance digital infrastructure in villages, with a budget of Rs 3,397 crore.
