BTech student's death during snatching: Accused killed in police encounter in Ghaziabad

On Friday, Kirti Singh, a B-Tech student at ABES College, was injured during a phone-snatching incident on NH-9 in the Masuri area while she was on her way home in Hapur with her friend Diksha Jindal in an auto-rickshaw. She passed away in Yashoda Hospital in Ghaziabad on Sunday. According to the police, the accused has been identified as Jeetendra, alias Jeetu, a resident of Mishal Garhi area in Masuri, Ghaziabad. A total of 12 cases, including robbery and snatching, were filed against Jeetendra in various police stations in Delhi-NCR.
