In Goa, sex racket goes digital, clients scan QR code to pay

Even as UPI gains popularity as a mode of payment, Goa police recently discovered just how widespread its use is when they busted an international sex racket. The operation, based in Goa but run from Kenya, involved victim sex workers providing QR codes to clients for payment, which was then transferred in full to the traffickers.
